My Educational Background
I grew up in Champaign, IL and attended Unit 4 schools through high school. I received my Bachelor’s degree in 2003 from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign and completed my Master’s degree at Butler University in Indianapolis, IN in 2006. During the 2006-2007 school year, I worked as a guidance counselor at Charleston High School in Charleston, IL, and this is my fifth year working here at Franklin Middle School. I am looking forward to a fun and successful school year!
Services
Franklin Middle School's Counseling Department promotes academic, personal, social, and career development of all students through individual counseling, small group counseling, classroom guidance, and testing and assessment. We collaborate with students, staff, parents, and the community to help our students reach their full potential. Students should feel free to come to the counseling office for available resources on community organizations/agencies and activities. We are here to help students handle any problem that could get in the way of learning, guide them to productive futures, and to create a poitive environment for everyone at school.
